6 New Sioux Falls Wedding Venues
It’s an exciting time to be planning a wedding in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. While there are a lot of spectacular existing venues, the large expansion of Sioux Falls is bringing even more wedding venue options to the area. Here are just a few of the new Sioux Falls venues I’m most looking forward to in the coming months and years:
1. Monick Yards
With an anticipated 2 event spaces, 12,000 square footage, and the possibility to host 400 guests, Monick Yards is the desired location for the industrialized modern couple. Located in the heart of Downtown Sioux Falls, not only will Monick Yards cater to the modern wedding vision, but it will offer ample photo opportunities with the picturesque downtown area.
With a desired open date of September 2023, be sure to tour and inquire as soon as possible for your 2024 and 2025 wedding. I’m anticipating this venue to be a hot commodity in Sioux Falls.
2. Beaver Creek Chapel
If you’re looking for an intimate location that holds a lot of history, the Beaver Creek Chapel might be the perfect place for your wedding. This historic school-house-turned-chapel is nestled in a picture-perfect apple orchard in Harrisburg, SD. The chapel has room for up to 100 guests and access to a designated bridal suite.
3. Prosper Country Warehouse & Event Hall
Located just outside of Sioux Falls in the small town of Lennox, SD is Prosper Country Warehouse. With an opening date of June 2023, Prosper is excited to host gatherings up to 350 guests. With access to the outdoor patio space at no additional cost, this venue is offering couples an affordable wedding venue option.
4. Twisted Pines Venue
Open for just shy of a year, Twisted Pines Venue in Parker, SD is also a new addition to the Sioux Falls area wedding scene. In addition to the venue, which can hold up to 300 guests, the property is home to a lodge with 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, a honeymoon cabin, and a handful of camper hook-ups. If you’re looking for a one-stop wedding weekend, this might be the perfect venue for you!
5. Wathier Weddings
Look no further than Wathier Weddings in Canton, SD, for a venue that exudes historic charm. With a focus on intimate weddings, Wathier Weddings (also known as The Kennedy Mansion) is committed to helping you feel relaxed on your wedding day. The space also prides itself on a unique option for your rehearsal dinner.
6. Canopy by Hilton Ballrooms
If you’ve been downtown Sioux Falls as of late, you may have noticed a large development being built in the previous Sioux Steel location (located close to Falls Park). The project known as the “Sioux Steel Development” will soon be home to a luxury Canopy by Hilton hotel that will feature 5-10 meeting rooms/ballrooms and a 60,000 square foot convention space. The desired open date is late spring of 2023.
